Home, home on the range

It’s been an adventure. We have driven from Edmonton to Ottawa via the Canadian route, staying away from the shore of Lake Superior (that’s too slow for me) and then returning south of the Great Lakes, taking time to pause and enjoy a few places along the way. And it is a long long journey….

Beach day

Just under two hours from Ottawa is Bonnechere – a lovely provincial park with a sandy beach, many amenities and large pine trees giving comfortable shade on a hot day. It’s been a long time since I swam in an Ontario lake – and what a treat to do so. This lake is not deep….
