Canada is a country

The quick-witted but ill-mannered and rude President-elect took to his own social media platform to insult both the country and the government. In my opinion, this convicted felon has somehow milked his base and insulted his way into a position of power to continue on with his self-serving agenda to express love for dictators and to throw insults at allies. Dear America, do you have any idea what you’ve done?

To that point, should it be necessary, Canada is a country, not a state, certainly not the 51st state, and the Prime Minister is not a governor. History and civics lessons are apparently not his strong suit. But then, this is a man whose “university” failed miserably.

Some will not like my criticism. Excuse me if you feel I am being harsh – but isn’t that the tone of DJT?

We should not be surprised at what we are witnessing, but I do worry that we could be Trump’s Ukraine, and our resources seen as a means to furthering his wealth and the billionaires who now surround him.

So let me just say, and underline that this country of some 41 million people will suffer economically under an American first philosophy, but so will American citizens. There will be no winners, as it relates to the general population. Only that very few on the top of the economic pile. But that is exactly what brings about revolutions.

Canada and the United States have always been good neighbours but this certainly is changing and not for the best interest in either country indeed it is scary let’s pray that cool heads prevail and we can work this out with common sense
