Today I am in Collingwood Ontario. The IT department has not met in four years and as we were able to get lots of sponsors to cover most of the costs, we have been able to gather them together. There are 140 of us here – not everyone is with TSA, some are account managers for software or hardware vendors, but the bulk are two groups. The A25 team is a temporary group who are implementing our digital transformation project. The second group is the infrastructure group which operates our systems and keeps “the lights on” as we support the territory.
Jonathan has been enormously kind bringing together a celebration to mark my retirement. The group couldn’t be kinder. And he also gave me lots of opportunities to share my faith, God’s call on my life and to testify to God’s faithfulness. The feedback from the people in attendance has been fascinating for we have many people from various faiths.

Yesterday allowed the team to work through an exercise that illustrates how teams need to work together as it relates to resource allocation and problem-solving. Key to the lessons learned was the need for good communication built on trust.

Not only was their cake – but what a lovely card too! As well I received so many wonderful and kind comments. I am a very blessed man!

What great people I’ve been able to work with!

And what a joy to share in this with you Fred, so proud of you and Wendy and your commitment to God and the Army
