If you’ve bought gas lately, and unless you don’t have a car, you have, you’ve seen the prices climbing. And they are climbing quickly, not slowly.
Do you, like I, wonder how the gas bought weeks, if not months ago and in the ground today on Canadian soil, can suddenly be more costly? I mean, I get it if we’re talking about oil futures, but the stuff already here, already going out the pump?
I drove past Costco this week and saw it for $1.44/ltr but for the most part we’re heading towards $1.70 ltr or more, and that’s in Alberta. I see BC at well over $2/ltr.
And with diesel prices up too then you can count on paying more for just about everything.

And why are we in this predicament? Oh yeah. The PM of Israel called DJT and told him to attack Iran… so here we are.
So what to do? We can’t change the war, can’t change US or Israeli strategies and policies so we have to do what we can control.
Some people will decide to buy an electric car or a hybrid. Some will turn down the thermostat. Some will decide they aren’t going to by on an airplane. And some people will decide that they have to turn to the support of food banks or other social helps.
And let’s hope and pray that cooler heads prevail.
