I do wish this picture was a bit clearer. It was on the wall inside the corps building in Bridgetown NS. It is obviously drawn by hand and I wondered if it was someone local. As you can see the cross of Calvary is on the hill and people from all around are walking towards it. The caption underneath says “There’s room at the cross for you”.
For many of us the meaning is clear. But for some it might require some explanation. The deaht and resurrection of Jesus provided forgiveness for all, gave us the ability to stand before God to be declared blameless. The cross therefore symbolizes our freedom from sin and our abundant life in Christ.
But can forgiveness be found for anyone, for anything? Yes. There’s room at the cross for you.
