April is here, and with it nature vacillates back and forth between what appears to be winter and spring. After losing most of our snow, we awoke Monday morning to a new, fresh blanket of white.

It’s been great to be able to get Nugget out for some good long walks – good for him and good for me. One of the things that I had in mind when we got him was that he would cause us to be out walking more. And that’s been true except for those extra cold weeks in January and February. We need an option for those weeks.
Even our neighbourhood bunny is getting ready for spring, changing his coat. The coyotes, I am sure, would love to invite her for dinner!
I noted from good ol’ Facebook that my friend Ted had his 70th birthday. We don’t have much connection these days – he’s near Victoria, and we don’t get there too often. Ted and I were good friends in years gone by and shared many childhood experiences, and with our parents being good friends we naturally were around each other often. So wonderful to see pictures of the celebration. I’ve snatched one picture to add here.

So happy birthday to Ted!
